Cognitive Behavioural Treatment (CBT)
Therapy That Leads to Meaningful Life Changes
At Bralivo we offer therapy and treatment for individuals who want to improve their lives and create meaningful change. We primarily use a method called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on working in a structured and active way with thought patterns, behaviours, and emotions. It is a well-established therapeutic approach with decades of scientific research supporting its effectiveness. Research has shown CBT to be effective in treating a wide range of psychological difficulties, including stress, depression, anxiety, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), among other conditions. This method has helped many people take control of their lives and create significant and lasting positive changes.

Frequently Asked Questions About CBT at Bralivo
What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based method that helps you understand and change thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that create difficulties in everyday life. It is an effective therapeutic approach that focuses on changing unhelpful thinking patterns, emotional responses, and behaviours.
At Bralivo, we always tailor and adapt the treatment to the individual seeking help.
How does the treatment process work?
We always tailor and adapt the treatment to the individual seeking help.
- Before your first appointment, you will be asked to complete digital questionnaires. This helps the psychologist gain a clearer understanding of your difficulties and map out your concerns.
- During the first session, the psychologist will ask structured questions in order to make an initial assessment. Once the assessment is completed, the psychologist will provide feedback on what they believe you may need help with and discuss this with you.
- Once you and the psychologist have identified what areas to work on, you will decide whether you would like to continue treatment. The process often begins with learning more about your specific challenges. You will then define your goals, and together with the psychologist work towards achieving them.
- You may also receive homework assignments between sessions, where you practice strategies or exercises discussed during therapy.
- When the treatment is completed, you should ideally notice clear improvements and feel that you have achieved your goals. However, CBT is not a “quick fix” — it requires motivation and active participation in your own treatment alongside the psychologist.
- During the final session, you and the psychologist will evaluate how the treatment has progressed and discuss how you can continue managing on your own. The goal of CBT is to provide you with tools and strategies so that you can handle similar challenges independently in the future if they arise.
